Apartment Style

By a show of hands who's dream was to live in an apartment when they were almost thirty?! .... yeah, me either 😂BUT I cant lie I have loved every minute of living in my trendy little downtown apartment! Trust me, Ive done it all.. bff roomies, no roomies, small house, big house, you get the picture- but I just wasn't quite ready to purchase my own home yet. SO a little over a year ago I decided to move into a 1 bedroom apartment downtown and I have just adored it! It's my own little babe cave- well, mine and my Mini Aussie, Primrose's' 😉and Lee and I love being able to walk to date night at various restaurants and fun events down here! + I'm a 4 minute drive to my salon, and how can you beat that! I will say, downsizing from a home to this little space was quite challenging at first, but once i really got into the "less is more" mindset, it turned into a breeze- almost liberating to be quite honest! No yard to take care of (or pay someone to care of lol), no flower beds to maintain, I don't have to roll my garbage can down to the curb every week.. which was somehow a chore I just could not remember to do for the life of me, so I always ended up with weeks worth of garbage bags in there (YUCK 🤢) Anyways, another adjustment to this was learning how to cohesively style each "area" of my apartment so that it was it's own separate space but still flowed with the vibe of everything else, since essentially apartments are made up of one huge room + your bedroom and a bathroom lol

So I put together a couple of design boards I created to show y'all some inspo for various areas throughout my apartment! If I had to describe my taste it would definitely be "modern cottage". I love a comfortable, homey, 'Joanna Gaine's' vibe but very minimal and with a modern twist to it! I also am a huuuuuge neutrals gal.. to the point that I've been wondering if it's become an OCD issue 😂🙈 So most of my decor color palettes are based off of white, ivory, tan, silver, gold and black with pops of color from greenery (faux of course, I do NOT have a green thumb lol) and accent rugs!

Some of my pieces I gathered from various stores that I could not find a link for- so if you any questions, please feel for to shoot me an email and ask! But, I did try to find close matches and linked those for y'all! Hope you enjoy!
